Whatever happened to him? he was amusing. seems he just stopped updating his "site", deleted all users from his "forums", and just complains about this site while doing nothing better than this site and yelling about how much apple is doomed.

Are you so lacking that you are incapable of remembering a web URL?

Point by point:

--My list of free updates from MS is still going strong at http://pcnmac.com/updates.htm and is updated regularly (much of the time daily). I guess it isn't a "site".

--My "forums" never were a forum and the few people that were here never posted so it is nothing but a news repository and blog now. I blather on just like you do on your "site". Truth is most people could give a hoot about X vs XP and the perfect evidence of that is how few people post at XvsXP.com even though it has been around for years and is one of the best known comparison sites on the net.

--I will likely complain about XvsXP.com until they stop cheating and update their site for XP the way it should have been done two years ago when Service Pack 2 was released. Oh, and they add the dozens and dozens of free apps featured at http://pcnmac.com/updates.htm

--Apple isn't doomed, as is clear by the health of their stock and profits. What is doomed is the Mac and the Mac OS. The Mac OS died years ago and now Macs are nothing but over priced PCs. You can get all excited about the iPod, but the baby that made Apple what it is has long since passed into irrelevance. iTunes, iWeb, iJunk for noobs galore...forgive me, but I could care less about software designed for 75 year old women and 10 year old boys. It isn't the late 80's any longer and most of us have moved beyond needing apps designed for the uninitiated. I guess you can count yourself in the 2% that still like apps and PCs and an OS designed for beginners.

Amusing is how you flat out cheat and lie yourself considering you know better when you spew forth at http://www.unsanity.org/archives/rant/caring_for_developers.php

Amusing in that you participated in multiple threads at XvsXP.com that detailed those exact issues and covered MS' offerings in detail yet you pretend to not know better:

Only one thing needs be mentioned that you are well aware of yet conveniently left out of your piece: MS' Empower Program for Developers:

https://partner.microsoft.com/empower

(the long and the short of it is 3 years of MSDN Universal (for 5 users, not one) at $375 per year—so the “useful” ones start at $375 not $1,199)

Quote:
Microsoft has various levels of MSDN Subscriptions which range from $199 to $10,939, depending on the features needed. The "useful" ones start at $1,199 as that is the price when the developer tools start to be included with the membership.

That is amusing. You can get lumped in with Dan, DaGuy, and MPMoriarity, though at least you don't seem to be as ignorant. In your case, you are just devious, which is actually worse. They at least have the excuse of not knowing better.
